Ken Martin


Ken Martin was born in London. He  received his training at the Rambert School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet  School, before joining the Royal Ballet company. He later joined the Scottish  Ballet as senior soloist, then finally was dancing in Hannover, Germany for  three years.


Ken’s repertoire includes many  solos and Pas de Deux in ballets: Giselle, Othello, Dandini,Cinderella, Les Sylphides, and Don Quixote. While retiring  from dancing, Ken attended the Professional Dancers Teachers Course at the Royal  Academy of Dancing, starting then his teaching career in Ravenna, Italy.


After some guest teaching and  spending five years with The Arts Educational School in London, Ken returned to  the ‘stage’ with Wiener Ballet Theatre and travelled widely around Europe,  concentrating on character roles and being company ballet master.


After guesting  with various companies including ‘Cossack’ groups, he spent three sessions with  Adonais Ballet Company.


He joined European Ballet as a  company teacher/ballet master in February 2000.
